When Idi Amin took Americans hostage

I am having difficulty finding more information about it, but I learned that in February 1977, Idi Amin took some Americans hostage in Uganda. The situation was apparently so dire that a U.S. aircraft carrier battle group was ordered to the area and they nearly attempted a rescue operation. Fortunately, Amin released the hostages.

Does anybody know anything more about this incident?
