The one problem I have with this show is...

...Chris' personality as a teenager.

This is supposed to be based on Chris Rock's real-life experiences as a high school teenager. That said, why is Chris so serious, reserved and timid when his real-life personality is the total opposite? I would imagine that Chris, even as a teenager, would have been extremely vocal and jocular. He most likely would have been the class clown in school, totally opposite from the character on this show.

I made the same point in my thread on this board about this show, although I use more accurate terminology in place of "jocular", such as "vulgar."

Nah, jocular IS accurate. My point is that Chris--contrary to his character on this TV series--has a comical personality. But yes, at times he--unlike his TV character--is vulgar on the show as well.
