A new place to post!

I just stumbled across this site thanks to a comment Bella made at WC. PrevTV is ok but laborious; this seems more like the old IMDb boards style.
We have to encourage more of the 'old gang' to join.

They've really made a lot of improvements on this site over the last week or so. It's getting easier to use and looks better than it did. I'm hopeful that they'll continue to make it better and more people will come here.

It's 'cozy' here. PrevTV has rules. If you post in the wrong place or accidentally go off topic they get cross. However, some really good points made... I will continue to check-in at PrevTV as the members seem to have a good handle on the show and its characters.

I'm so glad I cruised WC yesterday and saw Bella's heads up about this place (as expected from the person in charge, Bella was treated quite rudely).

Hopefully membership here will continue to grow and most of the old gang back on track.

Thanks, Pond I am so pleased you've come home. My old mates are coming back bit by bit. It is IMDb just in another place. Jim who runs the site achieved all our old posts and each weekend he's downloading more files. He's been our hero. So we are still here. In time more features will be added so hang out with us. Not bothered by Wayward Children, I took it on the chin, even though I wasn't poaching posters. Spread the word if you have anyone you can write to Pond!

Hey Pond, so glad to see you here! I followed you recently on PrevTV (as well as Gonzo, GG and others) because I wanted to send you the link to this place. We've been trying to bring in more people here and so far, it's been working. It's just the beginning :)

So happy I finally found this site!
I have missed the IMDB message boards terribly.

Does anyone know how long this site has been up and running?
I didn't see any links to it during the last 2 weeks on IMDB?

I have been lurking on Previously TV and The Movie Database but neither have enticed me to join.

Really looking forward to reading everyone's thoughts on shows again.

The way I originally found it was on the IMDB twitter account after the boards had been closed. I kept seeing it pop up and thought I'd check it out. I don't think it'd even been a week at that point, maybe a few days at most, and there weren't any people here, so I didn't come back until I saw Bella's post on the WC site.

I am beyond thrilled with finding Moviechat.org.
Hope all the great people from IMDB discover it.
Other than donating money is there anything we should be doing to help make it cost effective for it's operators?
I so hope it takes off!

Happy you found the site too, Missemd. Welcome home lol.

The site was up and running at least since IMDb announced they were closing down the board.
We had a bunch of farewell threads on the SPN board and this site was advertised several times. It already had old IMDb threads.

We had half a dozen options for our new IMDb. I gathered all the links, visited every platform, we even created 2 brand new boards but this one is my favorite, especially with the look and the old IMDb threads! Like you, I tried the Movie Database and even started a thread advertising Moviechat there because it had so many IMDb users :)

I think it would be nice to have a lot of IMDb users back on the same board and I'm sure we can do it by getting the word out and keeping the board active.

Does feel so much more like IMDB
