Mark got into contact with Vanessa again... and they rekindled their love.
Probably adopted another baby.
Mark probably sold all his comics, guitars... probably kept a couple of music memorabilia for his child to have down the line.
Vanessa and Mark eventually remarried... have a wonderful family and became better partners for each other.
No chance she was way too controlling! No man with any balls could put up with her!

shareI could barely see lingering attraction between them throughout the movie and don't see why they would fall in love later when they were more different. Both clearly put their differing views about having children above the relationship.
