right off the bat you know that mark

Doesn't want any children

also its almost like Vanessa did not trust him around other Women. maybe he has cheated on her before

reply

What made it seem like she didn't trust hum?

reply

Well he tried to shoo her out of house quickly the first time she came over unexpectedly, that was pretty strange

I'm not sure if Vanessa had a trust issue with him or not, but based on the fact that he found himself wanting to leave Vanessa, while at that same time assuming Juno would be happy about the idea, sure makes it sound as though she should have had trust issues! He seemed shocked that Juno didn't view him in as attractive a manner as he did her. What kind of a "30 something nut job" comes on to a 16 year old and expects her to return the feelings, no matter how many Slasher movies or rock bands they have in common? Can you say '10 to 20'??

Agreed. The way he says "every guy wants to be a father" and he sounds all nervous is a huge tip off. And I feel like Vanessa is just really nervous in general and wants everything to be a certain way. Mark is a creepy douche so I wouldn't be shocked if he had cheated before, but there could be other reasons for the way she is.

That's true as well. It was somewhat awkward with both of them. Vanessa had a really needy/desperate kind of response to all of this, partially due to her prior experience with the previous birth mother. I guess it worked out, albeit less than the picture perfect experience Juno had hoped for. Plenty of single parents have raised wonderful children though, and Vanessa was clearly in a better place than Juno to do the job.

Just for the record, I found the dialogue of this movie extremely entertaining. Ellen Paige carried it off, in my opinion, and while she may not have represented all teenagers, I enjoyed her character immensely!
