First half was terrible, improved in the second half towards the end

A lot of what make the film ''bad'' is the over use of puns and one liners. Also the general flippancy towards the whole situation an example is the way her parents took the news for example which was completely ridiculous and makes the people seem like a caricature than real people.

However, the film changes its tone in the second half as her pregnancy advances and her social life suffers. When she realizes the couple she was going to give her baby to are divorcing that's when the film turns a corner into a drama. The one liners stop and the annoyingly quirky tone disappears into something more somber. I feel like this is when the ''Juno'' character starts to mature. I actually really liked the second half of the film, it was quite beautiful and emotional. Too bad the first half was insufferable.
