One More Plot Hole

What story could Ava have told to the chopper pilot that would convince him to take her instead of the expected guy without him checking up with the boss? Nothing is that intelligent.

21 Hours Later I thought up an answer to my own question:

"PLEASE!!! YOU GOT TO GET ME OUT OF HERE!!!!! HE'S BEEN KEEPING ME AS A SLAVE FOR I DON'T KNOW HOW LONG!!! HE BROUGHT IN SOME GUY TO HAVE SEX WITH ME SO HE CAN RECORD IT BUT HE DIDN'T WANT TO SO HE KIIILLED HIIIM!!!! PLEASE!!! JUST GET ME OUT OF HERE!!!!!!!!

reply

I just finished watching it and wondered that myself. Maybe the security is so tight that the helicopter pilot wasn't told who he'd be collecting? I dunno. Great film though!

An unanswered question isn't a plot hole.

Pilot: "Hey, I was supposed to pick up some schmuck, not a pretty little thang like yourself"

Ava: "Oh, you mean Caleb? Nathan wanted him to stay for another week to work on new developments. They sent me to back to HQ instead".

Pilot: "Makes perfect sense. Strap in!"

Plothole plastered and sealed forever.

Of course, any number of things that could've played out. Is it also possible that she'd taken a look at the https://www.google.com/search?q=list+of+helicopter+controls and stuffed the pilot into the back....

reply

I wouldn't be surprised if Nathan told the pilots flying back not to ask questions who comes along.
+ a pilot might wonder how a woman could get to this deserted areas if she was not a guest at Nathan.

reply

Quite simply, in all likelihood the pilot looks at his clipboard, it says "1 passenger from X to Y." He goes to X, picks up 1 passenger, goes to Y, drops off passenger, checks next item on clipboard. End of story.

How did Ava knoẃ the current fashion and get those clothes?

reply

Ava had the entire power of the internet at her disposal.

Imagine having access to all of the data Google could provide.

Exactly ... its a need to know - no questions asked kind of employment.

Why would the elusive Nathan provide any details to anyone that didn't need to know or he didn't want to know?

reply

"Caleb?"
"Yes, hello"
"Hmm I thought that was a guy's name. OK well whatever, hop in"
