Wow. Kudos to Mr. Jake Gyllenhaal

Very, very few American actors can manage a consistent 'English' accent. (Received Pronunciation) And I include Peter Dinklage of 'Game of Thrones', whose accent ranges far and wide, even within the same episode. My ears bleed when I hear an American -or Canadian- doing an English accent badly. (Yes, I'm a snob.)

But Jake does a superb job in this film with his accent. I was consistently shocked at how well he executes it, even in scenes where he's under a lot of pressure.

Well done, you.

Have to agree. I thought I heard it falter a little bit now and then, but was solid for almost all of the film. Definitely one of the best English accents I've heard from an American actor.

Just watching and I have to agree. It's not perfect, but it does sound like a natural British accent rather than an RP one.

Jake's accent was good, but it sounded like a modern London accent. It was very "urban". He seemed like a Harry Potter character. He should've used a more RP or "Shakespearean" sounding accent - What the other actors used.
