I watched this movie for the first time last night and had no idea that Disney decided to remake Aladdin into a live action film.
Ok in all seriousness- you have an orphaned street rat who becomes a prince, falls in love with a smart-ass princess who runs away from the palace and has to protect some magical object from an evil advisor who wants to become king.... yea ...
touche wise one!! I did not even think of that :)

The original Aladdin story in 1001 nights, was quite different from the Aladdin story in the animated Disney film. And what do you know, the disney animation came out 3 years after the first Prince of Persia game, which also used the street kid story.
And did you see any flying carpets or magic lamps? I don't think so.
But other then that, they both take some inspiration from 1001 nights.
Its funny because even the game made me think of Aladdin! Glad I'm not the only one!
