Does ending give anyone else . . .

... a slightly uneasy feeling?

It's dusk, on a dirt road, and woman and her young daughter begin walking home.

I don't like it.

reply

I know, she should have used some of her money to get herself a car.

reply

She bought herself a house close enough so she doesn't need to drive to work.

reply

youve got to be kidding.

It's a small town. I lived in a small town, so i know how most of us liked to walk to town, or back to home after going somewhere.

To assume something bad...just know this mother and her daughter are now more happy than ever...and to walk with your child is just one of those moments..

reply

I think that ending was beautiful

reply

Good ending but the Doctor got shafted.

reply

Nope. The doctor was just as creepy as the husband, he just happened to be an educated professional with nicer manners.

reply

I wouldn't say creepy, but to be honest he wasn't much more then the vehicle for the dream guy. We never hear him complain about his wife, she's brought up like once, there's never any indication their marriage is bad, he just never talked about, and Jenna doesn't ask. I think he's kinda your 'magic pixie dream guy' there to play fiddle to Jenna.

We never see any real reason for him to escape his wife, though you could suggest that while maybe he's been with his wife maybe through med school, and he loves her, he's in love with Jenna.

Ok maybe i just love Nathan Fillion! Haha.

reply

I really love the ending actually.

The little girl is Adrienne Shelly's own daughter, Sophie Ostroy, and the closing song is what Adrienne sang her to get her to sleep.

Heartbreaking.
