Which actor is worse in this? Affleck or McAdams?

IMO:

Affleck was vey bad (especially the part where he's arguing with the Point Corp CEO...over acting would be an understatement),

But McAdams was much worse. There was some part in the movie where Crowe tells her they're off the story and she replies "Ohhh nooooooo".

It is truly cringeworthy. It is awful. Everytime I think about it I shake my head and try to push it out of my mind. I'm contemplating therapy.

Affleck is a very underrated actor. He has done a pretty good job of what he got. His role was underplayed actually.

Affleck is bland -- he has built his career on playing bland characters. He doesn't have much range. He is what he is.

McAdams is just not a good actress. She is pretty and appealing but she has no depth. She is miscast in this role (as she has been in other roles) because she just doesn't have it.

So McAdams is worse.

Oh no!
I'm sad everyone hates Rachel in this! She's one of those actresses whom I love, so I MUST see all the movies she's in. I think she's stellar.
Don't confuse a miscast for a bad actress though. She's phenomenal to me. Truly.

Time Travelers Wife was a stupid plot to being with. Not even Meryl Streep could save that.

Don't give up on Rachel though!

For me, Rachel McAdams was bad to the point of distracting. I thought Ben Affleck was miscast, which is very different than doing a bad job. Rachel McAdams was miscast AND did a bad job. I just didn't believe her in that roll for one minute.

Don't get me wrong. I don't dislike her. However, I thought she was absolutely terrible in this film.

I thought Affleck was very solid in this. He generally gets a lot of flack, but I find him to be a very good actor in the right role.

So I'll choose McAdams, who was bland in her role.

Did we watch the same movie? Affleck was pretty damn good, in my opinion. McAdams hit a few bad notes but overall she was very believeable.

Will I wait a lonely lifetime?
If you want me to, I will.

I thought Ben Affleck was fine. Actually his career was still a little bit in the doldrums at this point after Gigli and was looking for his comeback film. This wouldn't be the film to do it. It would happen a couple of years later with Argo. Edward Norton would have been better to choose this film though. He was supposed to play Affleck's role, but was committed to making the mediocre Leaves of Grass meant he had to pull out. Apparently Norton agreed to be in the film but then production was delayed which meant he couldn't do it.
