Not many women in history :(

Sadly due to women being "kept down" back in the old days the whole museum is mostly guys. I don't care since I am here now and I wouldn't put up with that crap but it does suck.

I am no feminist it's just an observation.

True and it's actually hopeless. This Earth cannot fully be fixed. Women have some rights now but the damage in regards to history is done.

Going forward we can make a slight impression but the important discoveries have already been made. Now it's just enhancing on them. At least in our lifetimes that is.

reply

Agree. Not many women passed on to legend, as men who fought great wars did.🎥

If we really look into their histories, I bet we'll find some brave women who did greater things than fight in a battle.

As I would say when I watch something where there is more men than women, I would say "It's a man's world."

Oh, no, no, no, there are tons of famous women in history. Hell, the world's first known author was a woman! The trouble is, the museum in the film is old school, so it's gonna focus more on male figures than female ones, and it was in the script.

I could name at least 25 different famous women off the top of my head, particularly women that would fit right in with that museum:

- Queen Elizabeth I
- Queen Victoria
- Amelia Earhart (who got to show up in the 2nd movie)
- quite a number of First Ladies who left their mark on America
- Annie Oakley
- Emily Dickinson
- the Bronte Sisters
- Madame Curie
- Eleanor of Aquitaine
- Margaret Thatcher
- Sylvia Plath
- Queen Marie Antoinette
- Mary Shelley
- Agatha Christie
- Jane Austen
- Florence Nightingale
- Pocahontas (AKA Matoaka, which was her real name)
- Catherine the Great
- Alexandra Romanov
- Anastasia Romanov
- all 6 wives of Henry VIII
- Queen Isabella of Spain
- Mary, Queen of Scots

The list goes on and on. Frankly, I wasn't bothered by the lack of women because I'm used to it in a lot of films, and I liked the two women who figured prominently in the story anyway. It's one reason I was heartbroken when we didn't see Rebecca again in the sequels as Larry's girlfriend.

Women were never kept down. They simply aren't as interested in or talented at the great pursuits of man. For every Jane Austen there are ten Hemmingways. For every Thatcher there are ten Churchills. For every Kate Bush there ten Bowies. It's just how things are. Men and women serve different but complimentary roles in the world.

By the same token every great man had a woman to serve as their rock. JFK needed Jackie. Shakespeare needed Anne. Dante needed Beatrice.

There were actually quite a few. Read a book.

Women are inherently not as aggressive as men, in any regard. It's less likely you'll make a major impression playing it safe. obviously there are exceptions, but they are just exceptions.
