Did anyone read the books?

I did when I was younger. Anyone else?

I actually still read them. =) There's one on my desk right now! I'm also a fan of the original as well as the revised text, and I'm currently working on completing my collection.

yes, I did. I have the yellow copies 1-56 in my attic. I am saving them for my nieces, if they like them. I have re-read vol. 1 and 2 already for when I start gifting them to the oldest one.

Yes, I read them all when I was a kid. Loved those books! And loved this movie. Too bad it has such a low rating. I thought it was great! Good story line, lots of action, and interaction among the characters. The only fault I found was that in the first Nancy Drew book she is 18 years old! Why the movie made her younger I don't know.

I wonder if the age change was a homage to the original character of Nancy Drew. Originally in the 1930s, her age was 16 in the stories. Then in the 1940s her age was advanced to the usual 18.
