Is Nancy Drew too perfect?

I don't just mean the character in this movie I'm talking about in general. What do you think?

reply

I used to enjoy reading Nancy Drew as a child.

I think she is a character for children to read.

reply

I know that but it's like she has very little to no flaws.

reply

That's what kids like.

Look at Harry Potter. Kid's got it made from the get go.

Yes she's too perfect to be a real person but she's not, she's a character in books for children.

reply

I guess you're right. But no doubt some kids find her too perfect too.

reply

Yes 2 dead parents and the mother and father of all evil destined to kill you is always a great start in life.

reply

Mother and father of all evil?

reply

Voldemort.

reply

Why would you call Voldemort the "mother and father" of all evil?

reply

You've not heard the expression "the mother of all..." ?
For example "The mother of all hangovers"
Meaning an extreme version of something.
So the mother and father of something is really extreme.

reply

Yes, I have. And now I know what you mean.

reply

She’s inspiring! Not afraid to be seen being smart. And the top notch kids at school are a lot like her.

What do you mean?
