The Family Stone with Sarah Jessica Parker. Falling for the brother's girl? I liked the movie but realized the similarities....Brothers fighting because of it (yeah, that is kind of a given that it would happen) Would like to know if anyone else noticed this.

Although the difference in the films for me is ...I really dislike The Family Stone! They are such snotty rude people! Very dislikable! It's not a pleasant film to watch.
But Dan's family is SO nice. I realize no one is dying in Dan's family... and in the family stone Diane Keaton is dying... but in 'real' life...not everyone dying is as Mean-spirited as Diane's character.
Yep, that's exactly what I first thought as I watched the movie. Also, Hannah and her sisters had this theme. I didn't find the characters particularly likable in either movie, with one or two exceptions-however, both movies were pretty entertaining.

It also reminds me of "While You Were Sleeping", (falling for your brother's girlfriend) and the stars are equally engaging.
