49 on the Top 250 currently?
About ten years ago, that list was okay, and you could go by it. Now.... might as well put Prizzis Honor on there. and Needful Things. Meaning other movies that are pretty good, but worth watching exactly once -_-

If you're complaining about the position of The Prestige in the IMDb Top 250, then you should also complain about the positions of The Dark Knight, LOTR: The Return Of The King, Fight Club, Inception, LOTR: The Two Towers, The Usual Suspects, Interstellar, and The Departed.
The IMDb Top 250 should be seen merely as the result of a popularity poll, not as the outcome of a critical review.
