Weird that this movie was the first thing I thought of.

Same here. He was the best part of the movie.

Who but a true genius to portray a genius!

David Bowie's shocking untimely death broke our hearts today, but we are so fortunate to have borne witness to his remarkable journey.

Rest in Peace.

Didn't know he was in this movie and didn't recognize him at start. Thought he had a familiar face but couldn't place him.

Really sorry for his lost.
I cannot think of anyone else playing Tesla but Bowie.
And I forgot, he also played Pontio Pilatus in "The Last temptation of Christ" of Martin Scorsese.Btw terrific performance in the Prestige.

When I went to see this film when it first came out, I'd only read one review about it, so I really didn't know who else was in it besides Bale and Jackman. So for me, it was a nice surprise when Bowie popped up as Tesla in what I thought was a pretty good film---I had no idea he was even in it. He always seemed to prefer more challenging indie films to Hollywood films anyway, just like he always challenged himself in his music.

Don't know how many movies he was in. Just remember seeing him in this and The Man Who Fell to Earth. Although his part was smaller in this, I liked him in this better.

Having watched this movie last night, I now think Bowie should have at least been nominated for a supporting actor Oscar. In my opinion, he did a fabulous job.
