Presuming that "Tesla" was not the five -letter keyword for Bordon's notebook. I wondered what was it? ...

And why would you presume that? Borden himself gave Angier "Tesla" as the keyword, and the fact that Angier succeeded in decoding the diary proves that it was true.

In terms of technical specificity, I can't see how the use of the word - "tesla" was used.
