Whatever the quibbles, there is one thing inarguable - the performances are outstanding. Christie got most of the accolades and deserved them, too, but Pinsent's work is a monument to subtlety. I can actually hear what he thinks, I think!
sharePinsent had that voice. He could read books out loud for hours and I'd still be mesmerized. And you're correct, you can hear what he thinks. He used great facial acting. Everyone was great in the film and they all deserve many kudos, but I say Pinsent was the tops.
