Why would anyone want to torture a pretty girl?

While wanting to kill a random person is sick I can kind of sympathize with the idea of wanting to kill some *beep* guy who says "bro" all the time. What I don't understand is why someone would want to kill a pretty girl. It is very obvious in this movie that this is the desire of some of Elite Hunting's clients with examples of the make up studio to make them pretty. Is there a mental disease that combines sexual desire with violent desire? I talked with a friend about this once and he said, "you don't understand it because you are sane."

It could stem from their past, maybe they were rejected by a pretty girl, so THIS pretty girl represents all the rejection they faced in the past? Plus, the general perception is that pretty girls "get all the attention" and they "get everything they want"; so in torturing a pretty girl, you would be showing them that no, pretty girls don't always get what they want. IDK

In the movie, didn't the main girl (Laura German) represent that one guy's wife? So, he was fantasizing about killing his wife without actually killing her

Sometimes with serial killers, they go after people who resemble/represent the people who have wronged them in life (ie. their mother, their father, etc).

Just a thought...

No, I said I could sympathize with the idea. I was referring to the *beep* frat boy stereotype that I can't stand.

You mean the guy who drinks all the time, only thinks about getting laid and says "Bro" and"Dude" all the time. That stereotype? What about the bitchy cheerleader/sorority girl stereotype. The gal who is manipulative, backstabbing, always being passive aggressive and making snide remarks. She takes pleasure in ruining other peoples lives and only cares about looking absolutely fabulous while doing it.

No your friend is right, it's not a good idea to even try and understand what goes through the mind of someone who would take pleasure from such activities. Although your addition of understanding why someone would do it to a dudebro is still worrisome. Lol

It's all or nothing man. You either can't understand it, and are therefor not likely to do it yourself, or you understand certain members of the population on the receiving end of it, specifically those you yourself don't like. It's not a huge leap between you despising and understanding the torture and killing of a dudebro and someone else's torture and killing of a pretty girl, lol! They've got the same feelings towards a different group of people as you do. Seek help.

Looking at the specific girls and their torturers:

Lorna was probably selected by the bloodbath lady due to her innocence. The kill was clearly inspired by Elisabeth Bathory, an interesting historical figure who would in the blood of her victims.

Whitney was very specifically dolled up and given over to a man who sleeps with prostitues and has no respect for women. Based on this and the way he talked to her, he clearly hates women.

And Beth was a surrogate for Stuart's wife.

Are you not aware that's the main draw in bondage movies. One could argue that girls' suffering is found in much of the porn being put out -- themes where the male's organ is so large it hurts the girl. Also, the industry's preoccupation with anal intercourse.
