Caught the last half hour of the movie on HBO the other night, so I don't know if this was clarified, but what was supposed to be the age difference between Alex and Sophie?
BTW, I liked the movie (what I saw of it) enough that I am going to try and catch the whole thing sometime.

They never say exactly, but I got the feeling that Sophie was about 30, and if it's supposed to be current date, Alex must have been in his mid 20's at the peak of PoP!, so that would make him about 45.

In the movie they say that Rhonda is 38 and that she's 7 years older then Sophie. So that would make Sophie 30/31 (depending on her birthday ofcourse).
shareand since the older sister was really into the band in the 80s but she wasn't, i'd guess sister was mid teens, singer was early twenties back then. so that puts the difference around 15.
if his hit was in 1984, he would probably be around 20 then, and if this takes place in 2007, that would make him ~45 to her ~30.

I agree,the age difference seemed to be 15/16 years.I'm not sure,but I think,in one scene,where Sophie talks with her sis about Alex etc....there are hints about,how old Sophie now is and how old Alex seems to be and I think,she's 16 years younger than him.....
