How in the world was this song not nominated for Best Original Song??? I have to tell you guys, I didn't think this was a great movie, not bad, but not that good either, but the song at the beginning and their fake 80's video is one of the funniest things I have ever seen. I can watch the first 5 minutes of this movie a million times. It makes me laugh just as much every time and it really does feel like a real song from then. Can't believe the Academy missed that one. Way to go again douchebags!!!

hahah i jus came on here to make a thread about how i adore this song,i watched the movie on tv a few days ago and it was great,that song was fabulous!! lol ...ive been singing it out loud in the house and my boyfriend thinks ive lost the plot lol

It really sounded like an 80's song !.80's music is my favourite kind of music,and i was born during that decade !

I loved the faux video!!! So right on target and rather depressing for those of us who lived through that era in that it can be parodied and evoked like something out of the 1950's or old-timey!!

The song is supposed to be semi-bad but credible, enjoyable pop fluff but it has a real hook and certainly deserved a Best song nomination considering a lot of crap songs have been nominated this past decade.

If you buy the DVD it has the video as a bonus feature so you can enjoy it repeatedly by itself.
