Wasn't this film horrible and offending?

I thought this movie was horrible. It wasn't funny, it was boring, predictable, and seems like something gay people would find very offensive. It was garbage, am I right?

As a gay man I didn't find it offensive. Stupid and sexist yes but offensive? No

I see your point but remember--they were trying appeal to two audiences--the Adam Sandler fans and us gay guys. I didn't like the mincing and lisping either but I thought it was well-balanced out by showing masculine gay men (Rhames wasn't THAT fem BTW). Still I seem to be in the minority. Most gay guys hated the film.

I'm remembering the scenes in the shower at the firehouse. Did he act fem then? Some gay men (at one point or another) do act that way. Not all but some so I had no problem with that. If it's any consolation to u this film was not a big hit.
