This is the reason why same-sex marriages don't get passed in the courts, abusive/manipulative behavior.

To be fair, it doesn't do much for opposite-sex marriage either.

Straight people do it too. A few seasons ago it happened on Grey's Anatomy. Made me think of this movie.
