Enough with the @#$%ing Phoenix Saga

It's been over 30 years of this tired bullcrap with Jean Grey.

I agree, that is the one of the two big problems with this series. First, everything is about Wolverine, and secondly every single storyline seems to be the tried and tested classics instead of anything new.

The first episode showed a bit of promise with unexpected characters like Dust, but then it goes into colour-by-numbers mode.

See Jean Grey is my favorite character in the X-men franchise. I was actually a little disappointed when X-men Evolution didn't do the Phoenix Saga. They only teased it in the finale.

I was a little bummed with how the original animated series portrayed it, and also with how the movie portrayed it (Movie Phoenix had no fire, and basically didn't do anything except sit there, and explode people when she got angry). And then she "died" at the end which was pretty dumb. Xavier and Cyclops "dying" was also pretty stupid.

Wolverine and the X-men's Phoenix was pretty good. I was just mainly happy to see Jean back. Course right when Jean finally comes back and joins the X-men, the show was cancelled

And then in the X-men Anime (which I haven't seen, but I've heard about what happens) she dies

Jean only had a good run in X-men evolution in my opinion. 90s cartoon Jean portrayed her as really weak, and I wasn't a fan of the voice actress, the way her costume looked, or how they made her use her power (weird blue light?). In Evolution she was strong (probably the most powerful X-men), good looking, had a great voice actress, and her character was just overall awesome

I have to agree that they use the Dark Phoenix Saga storyline way too much in the X-Men cartoons. I know that the Dark Phoenix Saga was a fantastic story, but there's like so many other X-Men story lines out there that haven't even been put into a cartoon yet, like Joss Whedon's run on Astonishing X-Men or maybe Messiah Complex.

should be enough with the hellfire club. A bunch euro weirdos dress up like that in today's times is just weird. secondly yeah the phoneix thing, jean gave up all that power really sucks

They should have just gone full blown Age of Apocalypse midway through the season.

Found it pretty overdone especially after seeing it in the Animated series. Honestly quite bored of Jean Grey even though i like her powers.
