Naveen

Naveen is an Indian name but this prince is from Maldonia with French accent.

reply

Yeah, they kept his race ambiguous since for some reason America would be up in arms if he identified as anything.

Ex: "Why does the prince have to be black just because the princess is black?" "So what? A black prince isn't good enough?"

I think they did the most logical thing to shut people up before they began to complain.

That was smart thinking...

reply

I know they were trying to make him ambiguous, but I'm sorry, I still see him as black (or at least part black) with his coloring.

reply

I thought I read somewhere that he's creole

reply

Definitely mixed in some sort of way...I was thinking more...French/Italian...With some Caribbean ancestry for the color...Black/French?

....you see BOTH his parents at the end.

Neither are white.
His mother is in an Indian/South Asian get up.

I ship ~~Makorra~~

reply

Indians and Arabic people have a darker skin tone than Europeans/Americans (especially Indians). I really thought he was from India/Pakistan.

Are there only 2 types either white or black? If you're tanned you must be part black? You guys don't make sense.

So Native Americans, SE Asians, North East Asians, South Asians, and middle easterners are what?

reply

perhaps you should have changed your tagline, op?

reply

He looks mixed to me, maybe half white half Indian. I don't see any Hispanic like people say, which I think they say just because of his skin tone, not his actual features.

Though you're dressed in rags, you wear an air of queenly grace

reply

Neither of his parents look white though...
Fictional India-esc ethnicity?

ya ever drink Baileys from a shoe?

He's what the future of the human will end up looking like. He's mixed with everything. He's what Americans would call the 'melting pot':

And also too hot for a cartoon character.

When I first saw The Princess And The Frog I fell in love with Prince Naveen and thought he looked very handsome and had such a wonderful accent which I think sounds a bit like a mix of Scottish and Italian. And I think Naveen was a bit of a dreamer who had big plans for his future and I think marrying Tiana helped him a lot because she saw in his eyes what love she had for him. I would love to see a sequel to The Princess And The Frog where Tiana and Naveen start a family and Naveen becomes a big successful jazz musician and Tiana works as a waitress while raising their kids when Naveen goes on tour. Naveen would make a good father would he?
