Any Frank O'Hara aficionados here? I remember Matthew Weiner saying his two most important literary influences were Cheever and O'Hara's work and I wonder how (apart from 'Mayakovsky' from 'Meditations in an Emergency') O'Hara's poetry relates to 'Mad Men' as a whole.
shareI wouldn't call myself an aficionado, more a casual fan.
But I do think the line from Meditations in an Emergency "I am the least difficult of men. All I want is boundless love" pretty much sums up Don Draper, and perhaps the whole series as well.
