Mad Men people now working on Halt and Catch Fire

I just heard recently some MM writers have been writing for HACF, which makes a lot of sense,

Haven't yet found out which ones, since I'm unfamiliar with their names, excepting MW.

I did just discover MM's Michael Saltzman, who co-produced many of my favorite MM episodes, has been busy co-producing many HACF episodes.

There's a lot of Mad Menesque subtly, and showing vs telling.

Hey,

here you can check out all the writers for HACF

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2543312/fullcredits#writers

But of course, I already did the work :)

Lisa Albert, who wrote 2 episodes for HACF's third season, also wrote/co-wrote
"New Amsterdam"
"Nixon vs. Kennedy"
"Flight 1"

Hey you,

Thanks for the link and for doing the work :)

I see Saltzman also wrote two episodes, in addition to coproducing a lot of them this season, so that makes three Mad Men writers writing for HACF. I wonder if they've got anyone else, like someone who did the photography, cinematography, lighting, etc, which has been outstanding this season. Will take a look.

But Saltzman didn't write any MM episodes, or am I understanding you wrong?

I really need to check it out since people call it the spiritual child of Mad Men.

Whoa, I had no idea SO MANY of the Mad Men crew have been working on HACF, or for so long. Thanks for looking them up for me :)

No, you're right, it was my mistake. I thought Saltzman had also written some MM episodes.

I hadn't heard HACF called the spiritual child of MM before, but that's a bang-on description. It's the only show that's helped scratch my Mad Men itch, and that's saying a lot.

A strange thing is, while the viewership is low (but avid), AMC keeps renewing it anyway. The ads for the first half of this season were all for very high end products -- Cadillac, Acura, iPhone, Apple Watch. I also know it's popular in Europe and other countries outside of Europe. It's like it has a unique cult following.

PRODUCTION DESIGN/ART DIRECTION/ART DEPARTMENT

And this is what you're looking for, I think.

Christopher Brown, Production Designer for HACF, was also the Art Director for 73 Mad Men episodes, and Production Designer for the pilot episode.

€ Although he seemed to have dropped out after season 2. The Production Designer for HACF is now Craig Stearns.

Jonathan Carlos, Art Director for 1 HACF episode, was also the assistant art director for 2 Mad Men episodes.

James Bolenbaugh, assistant art director for 1 HACF episode, art department production assistant for Mad Men's fifth season.

It'd be really nice to see some of them developing their own (hopefully good) shows, just like what happened with Sopranos' writers: Matthew Weiner created Mad Men, Todd A. Kessler created Damages and Bloodline, Terrence Winter created Boardwalk Empire, which I didn't like it but it was acclaimed. I think there are a few more examples too.
