I'm glad
I'm glad that I saw this movie and it has become one of my favorites. I'm also glad the way the script writer and director respected those who live in small towns as accepting and curious about Lars' situation, not saying this type of reactions is common in such places, it's just refreshing and somewhat true (I have been a visitor to several small towns and most people are as accepting as those portrayed in the movie while some aren't). Many films about small towns just trash their way of life and some people actually believe that's how most small towns actually are.
