Longest Supporting Actress Performance to Win??
Alicia Vikander’s Oscar win for best supporting actress is perhaps the biggest examples of category fraud ever at the academy awards, in any of the four acting races. She’s in EVERY frame. How and why was she campaigned for supporting? She even was nominated correctly in the lead races at both the Golden Globes and BAFTA awards.
My only conclusion is that the studios knew she wouldn’t defeat Brie Larson for the lead trophy in Room, so they put her here instead. But since the film clocks in at 2 hours, and she’s on screen longer then Eddy Redmayne- it’s just blatantly wrong that she’s deemed supporting.
