Why would Molly

claim that she doesnt have underwears on? And announcing it to the entire inappropriate family? What is the point in that?

...a little fantastic, and fleeting, and out of reach.

I think Molly saw just how obnoxious Kirk's family was and how they treated Kirk and objectified her, so it said as a bitchslap for them. "I'm good enough for him, but not good enough for you"

Yeah, she could tell how rude the brothers were being to her date, so she was tactfully commenting on how awesome she was so they would be jealous for Kirk.

The OP is an incredibly stupid person, so ignore them. In weird science the protagonists are average 16 or 17 year olds who create a drop-dead gorgeous 25 year old woman and the most powerful scene is when she visits them at school and makes out with them in front of their bullies.

The scene was a '*beep* you' to the members of his family who probably thought she had lost a bet in order to go out with him, she was saying "I'm 10x hotter than anyone you will ever have and later I'll have sex with him".

It was a very necessary, poignant scene. People need to either learn a few things about life or stop watching movies because IMDB has enough stupidity to fill an oil tanker already.

Opinions are just onions with pi in them.
