A movie for people with good taste...

...but haven't yet discovered Tarkovsky, Herzog, Kubrick, Bergman, or even Carpenter.

Basically, a really crappy but easily digestible arthouse movie that speaks to people (likely less experienced moviegoers) with good taste, but haven't been exposed to truly excellent arthouse sci-fi. They like the droning music, the slow pacing, epic storytelling style, and ambitious editing, but haven't seen it done right yet. i would've loved it if this came out when I was 12, i would've given it a 10/10 and praised Nolan for being the genius behind this and gritty batman, but thank god I saw Solaris, Blade Runner, and 2001 before Interstellar, lol

essentially, this movie is just diet arthouse. check out the real thing instead.
