I need this matter clearing up please.

Can someone tell me the order in which the movies and tv series go and what years. Plus are they available on DVD?

Theres really no order, because they take place in alternative universes.

Ghost in The Shell, and Innocence are one universe

Stand Alone Complex,Society are another universe

and I believe the manga is the last universe

They are of course all on DVD, you can find them on amazon.com

i have seen the 1st and 2nd movie and the 1st season of the series, but now that i also own solid state society and 2nd gig i want to know what order i should watch them in.
i would assume watching movie 1 and 2 then season 1 and 2 then solid state society would be the best way to go.

please someone tell me if this is wrong..........?

thnaks for the reply.
i agree with you about the style and technique of the first movie. i would add the philosophical implications also as a strength. it is the best anime in my opinion.
