MY IDEAL GHOST IN THE SHELL LIVE ACTION MOVIE!!!!!!

My idea for "GHOST IN THE SHELL" would be like this:

It needs to have a compeling and mysterious and intense story like the original movies, manga, tv series and novels. It will also need some good action sequences, great acting and fantastic special effects. And keep it with the original Japanese feel of the movie. Non of this change it to american crap.
And Major Kusanag needs to be a young and smoking hot Janaese babe. And I would do the film in the english lahguage too. And shot mostly in front of a green screen. And I would have the same look as front the anime series because it looks sooooo realistic.

Title: Ghost In The Shell: Stand Alone Complex - Ballade Of Puppets {thats my title idea}

Diretor: Kenji Kamiyama (ghost in the shell tv series) or Paul Greengrass (bourne identity trilogy) or J.J. Abrhams (mission impossible 3) or Kurt Wimmer (equalibrium, ultraviolet)

If I had to choose only two diretors for the movie they would be: Kenji Kamiyama because he could bring out the amazing dramatic and intense tone in the series and Kurt Wimmer because when you watch his film Equalibrium and Ultraviolet you get this anime like feeling.

Writers: Kenji Kamiyama and Junichi Fujisaku as THE lead writers and Roberto Orci, Alex Kurtzman and Kurt Wimmer as the secondary writers of course. Or just Kenji Kamiyama and Junichi Fujisaku would be fine by me because they are amazing at bring the "Ghost in the Shell" world to life in the tv series and novels.

Producers: Jerry Bruchimeir, Peter Jackson, Michael Bay, Steven Speilburg, Shirow Masamune (the creator), Kenji Kamiyama, Junichi Fujisaku and The Ghost In The Shell: Stand Alone Complex tv series Commitee

Actors: Major Motoko Kusanag - "???" Batou - "Ken Watanabe" Togusa - "Takeshi Kaneshiro" Section 9 Department Chief Aramak - "Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa"

Musical score: Yoko Kanno and Kenji Kawai

Studios: DreamWorks Pictures, Legandary Pictures, Warner Bros. and Production I.G.

F/X by: Industrial Light and Magic

Movie Rating: PG-13 for Intense Sequences of Sci-fi Violence and Action, Disturbing Content and Images, A Scene of Torture, Brief Language and Some Partial Nudity

or rated R for Sequences of Strong sci-fi Violence, Disturbing Content and Images, A Brutal Scene of Torture, Language and Some Sexuality

Running Time: 2 hours and 30 Minutes or 3 hours

What is your movie concept?????

I'd like to see a live action film also.
The only thing about directors and the like, would be that they have to stick to what the movies and TV series are like. And not be allowed to use their own "creativity". That's how most movies based upon other mediums are ruined.

Your choice for Aramaki seems good, would love to see Tagawa with the white pointy hair.
And Takeshi Kaneshiro playing Togusa looks good too, but I think he'd look little better with lighter, brownish hair. Bring little more familiarity with the version on TV and the movies.
But for Batou, I just don't think Ken Watanabe would work. For no other reason than he's only 6 ft. tall. And I view Bato as being the Muscle of the team, like 6'5" or 6'6". Not something gigantic, like 7 ft. But just bigger than an average person.

But, the choice for the major would have to be perfect for the movie to work. A bad choice of actress to play such a familiar character to GITS fans would ruin the whole movie, regardless of FX and everything else.
I point to AEON FLUX as an example, I didn't see that movie because Charlize Theron is about as far away from the/my idea of real life AEON FLUX as you can get. To be honest she just didn’t have the body for it. Too spongy.
So I would suggest that before they even start working on/writing on a real life movie, they find an actress whom the fan and audience would accept as the Major. Purple hair and all.
That's just my feelings.

Just to hear Michael Bay, Bruckheimer, Dreamworks and Kurt Wimmer in the same sentence as Gits makes me shudder and i fell like i have to vomit.
Thats absolute the worst scenario i could imagine.
To make that film in english is a bad idea too.
I'll just say it is a absolute dumb idea to make an Live Action Movie from Gits.
There is no way you could find a woman who could play the Major. I think there are
surely some babes who could look like her, but we need a good actress who can pull of her personality. And without the voice of Atsuko Tanaka it just wouldn't fit (imho)

I would rather see a complete CG-Movie.

I think it should never be live actioned. That would wreck the concept. CGI perhaps, or even just anime with smoother animation (decent lip sync, realistic car physics).

Kurt Wimmer? JJAbrams? The first made one good movie (but not excellent)and one horrible, the second made one average piece. GiTS needs a genius to be a director. What about the Wachowskis? They love GitS, made the Matrix inspired by it, and they definitely have the anime-feeling. (OK, forget Matrix 2&3.)
And it needs english translation too. Folks in USA will never watch a big movie with subtitles, and I think, a GiTS live movie would cost enourmus money, so it needs a lot of viewer.

Oh, and the others

Actors/actresses: I have no idea, maybe some talented but relatively unknown people.
Music: I agree, Kenji Kawai & Yoko Kanno.
Producer: Peter Jackson, F/X: his WETA. They are the leaders nowadays.
Studio: a japanese one.
Rating: R - GiTS doesn't need 13 years old children, they simply can't understand :)
Time: 2 hours.
