This movie confused the hell out of me

Okay first off the live action scene in the beginning was goofy as *beep*. What made it worse was that the subtitles i had didn't have translations in that part.

The fourteen year jump came as a big surprise, not sure if I like it or not yet. At first i was thinking that if this is some kind of Shinji's imagination universe i'm gonna snap.

The characters they added we're pointless, especially the pink haired little girl annoyed me, dunno why, just did.

The movie completely lost me at the third act. I had no idea why Fyutsuki told Shinji about his mother and Rei. Why was unit-01 used as an engine for the battleship or whatever it was. What we're they supposed to accomplish by getting the 2 spears with Kaworu. Why did it matter they we're the same type of spear? Why WE'RE they the same type of spear?

I'm not expecting anyone to explain it all to me, though it would be super duper nice. I'm just gonna let all this to sink in and watch it again, really focusing on these things.

Self explanatory? It was nothing but a mess of plot holes, inconsistencies and horrible characters, with a first act that lefts you as confused as Shingi, a second act that dragged for too long, with a lot of things left unsaid (who is manning NERV? Who made the new eva? What is Lilith doing all destroyed in central dogma (last movie the angel never came close there)?) and a clusterf..k of a third act with much more questions (Mark 6 and the other lance above them) endingin a way that barely felt like one, plus a cringe-worthy preview of the forth movie...

Jesus, I wish the Redlettemedia guys were into anime, so they could make a review video a la Prometheus pointing out every single plot hole, inconsistency and just pointless aspects (Mary above all) about this... thing.

Greetings from Colombia!
