Seriously ! How amazing was she in this movie !!!!!
Amy Adams was really good too, but Blunt's character was perfectly written and she did it soo well.
I find this to be kind of a cute movie; not in the complete sense but they're is so much in the film, I fell in love with all these characters. Alan Arkin, and the guy at the do-it-yourself shop too.

i felt the same way.. i love amy adams and rented the movie to see her but really ended up falling in love with emily blunt's character.. she was an amazing actress in the part

Amy Adam's top performance is still in "Doubt". In her "Sunshine Cleaning" role she could have tapped into the deteriorated h/s popular girl a lot more... I love her but there was something very small lacking here.
The movie is about Rose's finding validation in her career,her affair with her married lover Mac and her self-confidence.I think that she played her role very well. The movie viewer should appreciate how Amy Adams played Rose as a depressed,vulnerble and low-esteemed woman very well.

I totally agree. Amy Adams is a phenomenal actress, but Blunt completely stole the show. She was spot-on perfect.
I also really enjoyed this movie! It was entertaining, it made me laugh, it had a more complex storyline than most similar films do, and had great characters that were phenomenally acted. I'm surprised it didn't get mmore recognition.
Her character was better written. I'm thinking she was the actual main character. Maybe the writer put more of herself into her.
