Worth watching beyond episode 25 'Silence'?

So i've got to episode 25 and love the show, but all i've heard about the show is that it takes an absolute nosedive in quality for the last 12 or so episodes towards a very poor ending. Is it worth watching to the end, or should I quit whilst I'm ahead and remember the show for its brilliant 25 episode run?!

Well, I'm on episode 33 right now and though it's not as good as episodes 25 and before, it's still pretty enjoyable

Wont't call it a nosedive but it does get a bit slow. I personally like the ending. Go ahead.

It's not as amazing, but it certainly doesn't nosedive. It's still a good show.

I personally loved the first half and despised the second half. It's your call. However, if I could do it over, I wouldn't have watched the second half.

It's not at all horrible after episode 25 even though some think so. It's very different, I can say that much, but not bad. I have found a lot that I like in the back half of the series. Just don't expect the show to continue on the same way it has from the start once you reach that point, because it gets different.

I think it's good and I like both first half and second halve equally the same but for different reasons.

You won't be able to resist watching the rest, I know! Although the episodes after L dies are definitely not as good as the episodes preceding, they are still better than most other shows so go ahead :)

My son, who has seen the whole series, introduced me to it and seems to want to stop after "Silence", so I'm going to honor that.

Hmmm...tough call. I stuck it out to the end because I wanted to see how the rest of the series went. The first half of the show is in a whole other league in terms of quality and suspense, to be sure; the second part is a step down. In a perfect world, they would have structured the show differently and had it end sooner so you wouldn't have to worry about that decline in quality, but as it is, I think it's probably worth sticking it out just so you can have closure. It's not like it turns into the worst anime ever.
