Maybe it is just me but I think both characters have a lot of similarities including their methods of solving crimes and also body language, behavior.Also, Light resembles Moriarty played by Andrew Scott.genius but evil.just like Sherlock vs Moriarty

shareIf you notice, there are numerous Sherlock-esque detective characters out there these days. I'm actually starting to get tired of these "quirky genius detective who is so damn smart he can't relate to normal people!" characters--they're everywhere.
You'd feel cocky too if you were full of myself.

shareThat iconic sort of symbiotic relationship between Holmes and Moriarty is one which has transcended across many different films and television series (it even served as the inspiration for the Batman/Joker relationship). As a huge Sherlock fan -- and a lover of all things Holmes -- I find that the actual character similarities are much more surface.

I was so sad when he died. Mostly because he never got to find out that he was right all along about Light being Kira.
