How many of you thought this was a documentary?

Wow, that's a lot of hate for what is a Sandra Bullock vehicle. Yeah it started with a real story, but that "Based on" a true story line is supposed to let you know that the true story is only the starting point.

If it was the Michael Oher story, or if it was on BIOGRAPHY - I could see all the criticism.
It's a comedy, for heaven's sake.

It's actually classified as a biographical drama. By using real names and documented events and references most people expect a higher level of historical accuracy. According to Oher and other people close to the actual events, this film took a lot of liberties with the truth.
