Screening...Embarrassing...beastiality...too far.

I get it. You gotta be EDGY. Cursing every other word is cool. I worked security for a screening & I was embarrassed to be there..what's worse is my teenagers were embarrassed to be there. Dogs licking genitals is too much. Drunk, yeah, bachelor party check but reminded me of Hitch a bit and that was an awesome hysterical movie that I gladly watched repeatedly with my family or with friends ....

all that nastiness and f--ing language isn't necessary...occasional curse words fine. but come on!

are we just going for shock factor?

Bad Grandpa was almost NOTHING but "edgy" curse words and grotesque sequences, but it was still played in a way that made it humorous.

Drive Angry was over-the-top as well, but I absolutely hated it.

It just depends on context I guess. I'll wait until I see this movie to make judgments.

I felt the same as you, kelolette.

It's a shame, too. I thought the premise was really quite good. This could have been an actually good film.

I agree, OP. It went too far and just wasn't funny. You know a movie isn't very good with the writing when they have to constantly curse and have scenes such as with the dog. It wasn't funny at all. That whole part of the film, even when they were on the way to the hospital after the fact, was just so weak and unfunny. Definitely a sign of weak writing and lack of creativity and talent.

I swear there is always someone on every board of every movie here complaining about language. But they make a thread then disappear making me wonder how trolls have that much spare time to waste.

This is a Rated R movie and you expect an after school special? Movies are rated before they are released so you would have know what was going to happen beforehand.

reply

you knew there was going to be a dog licking a guys balls beforehand? And even a R Rated movie doesn't have to be that revolting. nobody said anything about expecting an after school special.

reply

The dog was licking his (keratinized, mutilated-at-birth) dick, not his balls. The sideways shot shows the entire penis and the dog licking it (it's a prosthetic, I reckon).

It goes too far because anything before that in the movie is "believable". Do real, sane people "prank" their friends by having a dog lick their penis? It's f'd up.

This is like those "pranking" channels. Stepping on black people's shoes and calling them n****** then yelling "it's a prank bro!". It's not funny.

I was enjoying the movie up til that point.

edit: trying to get around imdb censorship

That sucked the dog was injured doing something people commanded it to do. Not funny at all.

I just love when a parent lets their kids see R-rated movies and then bitch about the content. ROFL!!!!! Listen to yourself!

Everything was fine except for the dog scene. That doesn't sit well with me and I consider it animal abuse.

I agree. It.was.not.necessary. It really grossed me out. The movie was bleh, saw it this Sunday. I don't think I've ever seen a KH movie. Or have I? Idk. But yeah... i won't watch again. I've been with the flu, day 5 of being sick, it came on after the Wedding Singer and I was feeling too *beep* to change it. Lol.

It's the same thing as every other movie of this genre being made now a days Weird. Idk what's going to happen to the film industry. Its great when you have a few great movies, great actors, great everything, but when that greatness is surrounded by shiddy movies, actors year after year etc, you start to wonder, when will the madness end...? Don't get me started on the flavor of the month for these ppl in hollywood. Ugh. Not worth paying to see on screen sometimes anymore.

Everyone sees what you appear to be, few experience what you really are.
