I've only seen the trailer and I won't be going to the theatre to see this....might catch it eventually when it's on tv...
but, it looks like another wet dream of your average schlepp where the mediocre guy gets the really attractive woman.
I got to see this movie at an advanced screeining in Phoenix and I can safely say that the previews don't do the movie justice...at all. I totally agree with you that it makes it seem like the same thing we've seen a million times. Trust me when I say that in the course of the movie you get an answer to that question we all have "why would a girl like that be with a guy like him?". This movie is one of the funniest films I've seen in a long long time. I think it is funnier than the Hangover films. There is a raunchy bachelor party scene, so if that's not your thing you may be put off by that, but there are so many layers of comedy in this film it's actually quite refreshing. Do yourself a favor, wait a week or two after it comes out and from word of mouth you'll hear it is really worth it...then go see it.

Seriously, I rarely see movies now when they're new. Sometimes I'll order a movie on demand, but ....you know....whatever. There's more important things than movies. Like Big Bang reruns... ROFL ...
Hollywood doesn't make much money off of me. :)
