what was it all about? why did she kill the ppl in the trunk? why did she kill the ppl at the rest stop? i kinda picked up that she chased the girls because she thought they saw the bodies in the trunk? i dunoo i couldn't understand a lot of the dialogue through all the screaming, shouting, crying etc
shareI'm not sure what the actual backstory was (didn't have much of a story at all in any respect) - but she did keep screaming something about the girls stealingher husband. Think maybe he'd cheated, she's gone spazzo... the usual.
shareThey had a whole backstory for her, but they cut it out because they thought it was creepy enough with her saying random things like that. This I was told by the director at a screening of the movie in Austin, Tx.
"I thought you were the man with the big cigar. What are you packin'- a tip a willow?"
That just shows how incompetent they are. Seriously, did anyone find that woman creepy? I found her hilarious. I was counting the number of ways she could find to say "I'm going to shoot you": I'm going to rip the flesh off your skull! I'm going to stuff this gun up your butt until your head explodes! I'm going to extract the blood from your body with hundreds of little pellets! Et cetera.
I think she also said something to one of the girls about how she was trying to prtect her, or something. The way it was said made it sound like the woman was talking to her daughter.

To me it sounded like she found out that her daughter had an affair with her husband (hopefully the stepfather and not the bio father of the daughter), and that's what started the rampage.
I guess the family in her trunk was her family.
