Who binged watched as opposed to watching live

I binged this and have to say Im glad I did cause I would have been going crazy waiting weekly especially later in the series as I believe series started getting real good around season 3 and on.

reply

I binge watched the first 3 and a half seasons before joining the remainder of season 4 when they were new. At that point the wait in between episodes indeed did become unbearable.

reply

I always waited that a whole season was aired and then binged it. Still sucked to wait for a year to see a new season.

I'm currently binging it again on netflix. It's even better on a second watch. I'm really loving this show now.

reply

I've re watched the show like 4 times no lie

reply

There's only a few shows that are worth revisiting to me and this definetely is one of them.

Others are Sopranos, Oz and Narcos. Maybe Mad Men some day.

reply

I've never watch The Sopranos I do have HBO GO I may start I heard it's excellent in your opinion is it as good as Breaking Bad would I like it if I love Breaking Bad I know it's totally different but everyone says it's a great series just as good as Breaking Bad

reply

Sopranos is every bit as good as Breaking Bad, if not better. Many would argue that it is better. Tough call for me, I loved them both so much.

reply

I love both shows but I rate the Sopranos a little bit higher. I've watched it three times. You should check it out I think you might like it. It's different than BB but they do have some similaraties too. What I really like in both shows is the dark humor.

reply

Definitely, well-written humor.

Sopranos Semi-spoiler:
I know the viewer is supposed to despise him, but Ralphie Cifaretto kept me laughing throughout his run.
reply

Oh yeah me too and his obsession with the Gladiator was hilarious, always quoting it.

reply

Haven't found a show as good as BB since the Finale.

But thought Ozark was pretty good on Netflix. Believe they were shooting for the BB flavor. Seems something like what BB would have been, if it were just Walt and no Jesse. The Walt/Jesse - father/son generation gap mix of characters is one of many reasons I think BB was so good.

reply

I really liked Ozark. They're definitely inspired by BB but that's not a bad thing since they're doing a pretty good job in creating a show that's similar in tone to BB. Season 2 should be around possibly in the summer, looking forward to it.

Hard to imagine anyone else playing WW, other than Cranston, but how do you think Laura Linney would have done with the Skyler role? Never thought much of her, only really seeing her in the Truman Show, but she may have been an interesting choice...would likely have given Walt a black eye or two by the end.

reply

I've always liked Laura Linney. She was excellent in the Savages, a movie that I love. I could imagine her playing Skyler. She can pull of that cold hearted bitch thing really well.

When I first watched BB I couldn't stand Skyler, I hated her with a passion. Rewatching it made me realize that she's not that bad at all, she's actually handling everything pretty well. She still annoyed me at times, but I'm not sure If it was the role or the actress, maybe bit of both. I haven't seen the actress in anything else so it's hard to say.

reply

Watched it live, which I'm glad I did. I was able to savor the experience that way, and re-watch the previous week's episode before each new one to catch any details I might have missed.

reply

I binged watched this as well and it was really addicting. Sometimes it would be late at night and I would have to get up early the next day, but I couldn't help it and watched one more episode. The cliffhangers and intense drama was just too much. You had to find out what happens next with Walt, Jesse and company.

reply

I tried but dropped out at S1, episode 4. Really wanted to love this and be a BB fan. I love well made tv, and this does look well done. But meth, cancer are tough subjects. Will try again one day.

watched the first 3 seasons on netflix or something and then had to wait for the rest. torture. i'm due for a binge watch
