Zach's ungrateful sister

Zach's sister Jeanne, was very fortunate to have a brother like Zach and took way too much advantage of him. She had a child that she didn't appear to want to take full responsibility for, hooked up with another dou@hbag and then attempted to try and make another life for herself, at the expense of her brother's own freedom and contentment. When Shaun told Zach he was beautiful and he initially shrugged it off, Shaun told him to take a compliment. He was right, Zach was beautiful and Jeanne was taking way too much advantage of his generous and kind nature. She couldn't even approach the question about Zach's sexuality, in a tactful and respectful manner, only by asking him if he was a "f@g".

It was different when Gabe came home and was making friendly and endearing banter about his brother's sexuality, when he was going up the stairs. He loved and accepted Shaun. I had half expected Gabe to go all homophobic, when he found out about Zach and his brother getting it on. If only for protective reasons, that Zach was his friend first. It was a nice diversion that Gabe was understanding, even if he did taunt Zach a bit in the diner.

I agree with you totally! Jeanne was more than fortunate to have a brother like Zach! If it wasn't for Zach, Jeanne would have to face up to her parental obligations and become a mother to Cody. Jeanne is so totally self absorbed, that she really has no interest in anything or anyone but herself! I really hated how she asked Zach if he was a f@g and then basically said... "I don't want to deal with that". Then when she finds out that, Zach has been seeing Shaun, she blasts him for not telling her that he's gay! Poor Zach just can't win, he puts himself out to look after his nephew (no wonder Cody thinks that Zach is his father) and all she can do is berate him like a harpy!

I think that Zach's confusion about his sexual orientation stems from Jeanne, she virtually controlled his life and most of his free time, if Zach had ever left San Pedro then her freedom would be gone as well! I'm glad that Shaun was patient with Zach because every time, Jeanne opened her mouth, poor Shaun would bare the brunt, as Zach would ignore him and not return his calls.
