Do anybody REALLY expect the WW to make it past the North?

I'm REALLY skeptical of that now. Especially that the show is winding down, with very short episode runs to boot.

reply

season 8 is about the WW. season 7 is about Dany becoming queen.

reply

Yeah, I expect we'll see the White Walkers in the last episode or two - freezing the water at Eastwitch-by-the-Sea and walking around the edge of the wall

reply

If the fight against the WW turns out to be a anti-climactic 2 episode affair next season i'll hunt D&D down AND FLOG THEM!

reply

I really expect the army of the dead to kill every man woman child and beast in the realm!

reply

I would guess this season is about Dany, Jon, and Cersei. Next season I would expect will be full on WW glory. Also, I've read every ep next(last season) will likely be 80-90 minutes, so plenty of WW battles to come.

reply

I agree, they will let humans kill each other, then the dead will finish the job.

EVIL COMES HOME

reply

Of course I expect the climactic final battle of the entire series to be held at Winterfell, which is "home" to the viewers and main characters, but I expect that part of the Zombie Apocolypse will reach further south.

It just won't feel like a true Zombie Apocolypse unless the oceans freeze and the armies of the dead march on King's Landing! Or other recognizable places, anyway.

reply

I think it was foreshadowed in Daenerys' visions in the House of the Undying in Qarth, when she saw the deserted throne room in King's Landing blanketed in snow, that the White Walkers will make it as far south as King's Landing and bring winter and death to the city.

reply

Remember, that scene has a possible alternate meaning, or double meaning. You know... SNOW ON THE THRONE, character named SNOW in a position to marry the future queen of Westeros and sit his lovely bubble butt ON THE THRONE?

Personally, I hope the vision had a double meaning. It just won't feel like a proper apocalypse if the dead don't reach the big city.

reply

WW will make it past the North Wall in season finale.
Wanna know how they do that?

reply

Yes, I do expect the Walkers to penitrate the south of Westeros.

I'm also seeing far too many vocal and strident newcomers here whom I've never seen before, too many of whom have fervent opinions but who do not seem to have paid a whole hell lot of attention to the actual series over the past six years--sort of like those losers who write the clickbait "theories" at the bottom of the bird cage, I mean, the bottom of the page (Fan Theories Why Arya is the Weakest Stark). I don't give a damn if you are skeptical. Present some evidence as to why you are skeptical. Or shut up.

YouTube channels have presented what appears to be credible spoilers for the entire season 7 and there is a definitive answer to the OP's question there. If anyone cares for spoilers, just go to YouTube, do a search on GoT Season 7 leaks and read on.

Today I heard on news that hackers got their hands on GOT scripts for this season. They are demanding ransom money from HBO not to leak them. But apparently, some of it has already been leaked. I just hope that people who've seen it won't forget to put "spoilers" on top of their posts.

I do hope so, too.
But I guess they won’t.

reply

Consider how slow the wights move though. Them going all the way down south seems unlikely. I hope i'm wrong.

reply

They can probably move faster than a conventional army, especially if the Night's King freezes the sea so they have a nice smooth path. Once they start shambling south across a frozen sea, they wouldn't stop to eat or sleep or to get drunk at inns or to fight off bandits, like normal travelers in Westeros. They'd make good time.

Incidentally, if they did take the frozen-sea route from Eastwatch, they'd have to pass Dragonstone to get to King's Landing.
