Game of Thrones Prequel Casts Naomi Watts in Lead Role

"Naomi Watts will star in the 'Game of Thrones' prequel pilot at HBO that hails from Jane Goldman, Variety has learned.

The exact details of Watts’ character are being kept under wraps, but it is known she is playing “a charismatic socialite hiding a dark secret.'"

Unfortunately your namesake won’t be in it, if the story is right about the time period in which the series is set.

I hope one of the other series covers the Dance of Dragons.

HBO released the title of the prequel. It is to be called "The Long Night", and focuses on the first appearance of the white walkers in Westeros. I guess they won't be dealing with dragons or Old Valyria at all.
