Continue the story in parallel universe

If we agree that Cotler created a parallel universe in the end....

In this parallel reality, the Source Code project was not activated, as the explosion was prevented by Cotler before it happened.

Goodwin received a text message from Cotler - both are in the same parallel universe.

What is Cotler's status? His physical body is here lying in the container, waiting to serve on the mission. His mind, however, is active and wandering outside in Shaun's body.

If at some point the Source Code project is activated, Cotler's consciousness will be jacked out of Shaun's body and sent to some other 8-minute scenario. What will happen to Shaun then? Will he suddenly collapse? Or will Shaun's consciousness return to Shaun's body?

And if Cotler's consciousness is sent to another 8-minute scenario, is he still able to come back to this universe that was created by himself?

Or is this universe a "solidified" world, ie. once created there's no need to sustain it by Cotler's brain power? Much Like a kid blows a bubble, the bubble wraps around the kid, floats in the air, and won't burst - so the kid can stay in the bubble forever.

Here the "bubble" could be formed at the kissing moment, which is when Cotler's life support is pulled out - he no longer has the life energy to "blow the bubble", but the bubble has formed and he's able to stay in this new world.

All other "ins and outs" of the 8-minute scenarios do not create bubbles,as Cotlers are all dead in the end, so the bubbles all burst.

If the "bubble" theory is correct, then we can expect similar stories happen in this parallel universe. There appears no need for a sequel. The strange thing however is Cotler being able to carry his consciousness across parallel worlds (as the parallel Cotler both has full knowledge of the train incident, and also expects his next mission), not like everyone else starting fresh in a parallel world. Cotler seems able to live eternally in this way, if he always creates a bubble before his physical brain dies. We can even launch a TV series for him.

LMAO you have fused Ghost In The Shell in with this silly film

Science Fiction creates as much hilarity in other ppl sometimes as itself sometimes does

According to the movie I'd say his conscience "duplicated", "cloned", as dumb as it sounds.

He asks Goodwin to reassure him that "everything is gonna be alright" when they she wakes his "dead" self for a mission.

yeah - this is the biggest flaw - it should have been - after the freezing kiss you see the real Sean with Christian (the one you see in the mirror at the beginning)
