Bill Moseley is an incredible actor, if you wanna see other work that he was good in, see The Devil's Rejects and it's lesser movie in that series, House of 1000 Corpses. I can't wait to see his portrayal of Charles Manson in Manson's Girls which is supposed to be released this year, but it is currently filming now.

You forgot the number 1 rule about remakes: don't **** with the original!
