So, WB are probably going to reboot this, right?

They probably thought Justice League would storm the box office. Clearly, it didn't, so do you think they will just reboot it now? or wait for another movie to not do well then call it quits?

reply

Plans are already in the works for a reboot.

reply

Really? That's good to hear. They need to do justice to the Superman character. I don't know if it was Henry Cavil being miscast or the writing for the character or both, but I really could not connect with this Superman at all.

Called "The League of Justice"!

reply

Its called "Marvel"

reply

Your source for this?

just another marveltard troll...

reply

Nope, just someone who likes both Marvel and DC universes, although I favor the former. In any case, "Watchman" remains my all-time favorite superhero flick.

reply

Just joking, bro. :)

But it's probably not far from the truth.

reply

Doubtful WB will continue with the DCEU.

when A Studios spends up upward of 150 Million on a movie/Blockbuster...They do it because they believe the movie has The Potential to make Millions to HUNDREDS of Millions in Profit.

Its Beyond An Awful investment to Spend 300 Million dollars + and Only make maybe 50 Million Profit....Its just not worth it...

what WB is looking at with JL.Is at best, Breaks even with its box office and then If they are going to make a profit it Will ONLY come WAY down the line from Blu Ray sales and TV Revenue....JL may make WB somewhere between 25 to 50 Million in profit YEARS down the line.lol thats is SO NOT The Goal

that would be damn good for another movie.

for Example in the last decade, Low Budget Horror films have became A Huge Money maker for Studios...

They can make most Ghost/Supernatural horror movies for very cheap, some even as low as under 5 Million for A Production budget, or as high as 20-30 M

Studios LOVE making Horror movies for a low budget, They are perfectly fine spending 20 Million on A Ghost movie and Having that Ghost movie break even at the box office and then make a 10 to 20 million dollar Profit in the years to come from Blu ray sales and TV revenue.t the Key here is The Budget.

Its a complete different story to Risk/Invest 20 Million and Then Break even at the box office and Make a Profit down the line.

But WB did it With A 300 Million Down Investment.

again Other Studios usually do this on Purpose. They usual intentionally Make A Low budget movie, With very minor risks with The Intentions of Making A Profit Down The line.

Yet WB is in the same Position but With A 300 Million dollar + Investment.its beyond horrific to Spend that much money and either, Lose Money(which is possible), Just Break Even(Which is Possible) or Best case Scenario, Maybe make a 25 to 50 Million dollars profit 3 years down the road

Anyways the answer to you question is , Theaters
Major studios have to Split Revue 50/50 with them therefor A Film MUST double its budget

It's hanging in there and doing considerably better than Fantastic Beasts did last Thanksgiving.

Isn't there a rumor that they want to make a Joker film starring Leonardo DiCaprio as the Joker while at the same time having Jared Leto play the Joker in another film? That's like a simultaneous reboot.

reply

I've heard that, but it will never happen. Leo is too good to do comic book movies.

reply

Or thinks too highly of himself. He won't do it because he is afraid it will make him stop being taken seriously as an actor. At the same time we have talented actors like, Michael Fassbender, Benedict Cumberbatch, Christian Bale, just to name a few, who have starred in superhero movies. We even had Marlon Brando, Kevin Spacey in CBM movies, no one is too good for CBM movies. It's just that Leo won't take risks. Don't blame him tho, considering the current state of the DCEU.

reply

or just doesn't want to be conected with a failed franchise.

reply

Exactly. If Christopher Nolan had offered him Batman, he would probably have taken it.

Totally makes sense to reboot a movie that's been in theatres for a week and is earning hundreds of millions of dollars, thanks for that stunning insight.

Interesting, you just made an excellent case why Superman Returns should NOT have been rebooted. I agree 100%. Things would be 10X better if the crappy Snyderverse was never inflicted on the public.
