From everything I’m reading the real reason these dc movies aren’t great is actually because of wb micromanaging them to death. Watchmen wasn’t that well received until his ultimate cut was released. Same with bvs. Now we hear that whedon had the studio up his bum the whole time. Turns out the had him cutting and re editing his own reshoots as well the stuff of zacks.
The main problem is that studio. Instead of being their own thing they’re trying to be marvel. We already have a marvel cu. we don’t need another.
You Cant Believe Your Saying That??? Ive been saying that since Man of Steel. Zack Snyder is good at making flashy visuals. But he sucks at telling a story. Also i don't think DC is trying be like Marvel. Marvel had a coherent plan to the first Avengers movie. DC just throws shit at the screen and hope it works. Marvel like to have a fun atmosphere to there movies, even the more serious ones like Winter Soldier. DC makes everything so dark. Its amazing people are not slitting there own wrist on the way out of the theater.
